Presentation Tacón Flamenco de Utrera

The VI edition of the Tacón Flamenco de Utrera 2018 has been presented, which this year has taken place at the headquarters of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía, located in Calatrava street in Seville, in which pays tribute to the dancer Manolo Marín.

In this presentation was attended by the director of the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco, María Ángeles Carrasco; the delegate of Tourism, Festivities and Commerce of the City of Utrera, Carmen Cabra; the dancer honored, Manuel Marín; and Luis Peña on behalf of the association 'El Compás que nos une', organizer of the Festival, which has the collaboration of the City of Utrera.

From February 25 to March 4, are the dates scheduled for this festival, which will receive Cristina Hoyos, Hiniesta Cortés, Adela Campallo, Jairo Barrull, Isabel Bayón, La Choni, Pilar Ortega, Rafael Campallo, Pilar Astola, Carmen Lozano, Rafael de Utrera, Ángeles Gabaldón or Alicia Márquez. These are some of the artists who will perform in the main show this year, which pays tribute to Manolo Marín.

From the direction of the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco has highlighted the quality of programming, in addition to the venue of the festival: "Utrera, flamenco land with its own seal of identity, which saw the birth and growth of many artists such as the Perrate, Gaspar, Fernanda and Bernarda, Enrique Montoya, Bambino, Curro de Utrera, Manuel de Angustias, La Perrata, El Cuchara, El Niño de Utrera, Rafael de Utrera, Pepa de Benito and Tomás de Perrate, among many others."

To complete the line-up, there is a show by María Marrufo de Utrera, who maintains the Utrera cadence in all her movements; "De Japón vengo", with Junko Hagiwara and Yuka Hayashi, two dancers who show that Japan is here to stay; Rafael Rodríguez 'Cabeza', with a show-workshop focused on the flamenco dance guitar, in which he will be accompanied by Fernando Romero and Moi de Morón.

In this edition, as in previous editions, the "Talks with the Maestro" are staged, which this year is aimed at the artist and dancer Manolo Marín, in which a review of his life and his way of understanding flamenco dance will be made, with the special collaboration of the journalist Antonio Ortega.
