26 Nov URGENT MEASURES FOR THE EVENTS AND ENTERTAINMENT SECTOR.
From Argot Flamenco we echo the Urgent Measures necessary for the sector of Events and Shows to remain alive, which has been requested through the unified social movement of RED ALERT, in view of the sanitary crisis of Covid-19 generated since the 14th of March 2020.
The Events and Entertainment sector encompasses business, professional and artistic activities, covering a very broad value chain, including research, design, creation, production, manufacturing, distribution, marketing, communication and dissemination, logistics, rental, installation, assembly, exhibition and training, as well as each and every one of the jobs related to all of them.
In addition to events and shows more related to Culture, the MICE segment is integrated (congresses, meetings, conventions, exhibitions/fairs y events ), referring to Business Tourism and Events.
A sector with professionals and companies that is being severely punished and with hardly any measures or aid to continue with their business, with an estimated direct impact of at least 3.8 of the Spanish GDP, creating around 800,000 related jobs, and which, due to its transferable nature, depends on the Culture, Tourism and Industry sectors.
In the movement of #AlertaRoja #Hacemoseventos movement brings together hundreds of organisations including federations, associations, platforms and organisational movements, as well as thousands of companies and professionals from all segments, and the hundreds of professionals and disciplines that form part of this important industrial sector in our country.
That is why it is so necessary to give visibility to the alarming situation we are currently experiencing, with a generalised paralysis of activity, with a timid reactivation for a few months, and once again great restrictions and limitations......WE CANNOT WORK.
We were the first to stop our activity and we are certain that we will be the last to return to normality, understood as the recovery of 100% of the capacity.
