03 Mar DAYS OF FLAMENCO FESTIVAL, ONLINE
Today we inform you about the 26th edition of the Flamenco Days Festival online that is going to take place the next days of March, specifically on the 18th, 19th and 20th, by the Israeli foundation Keren Adi, whose director and founder is Eva Agmon, Independent Professional of Fine Arts.
A festival of the most important in this discipline in the country, due to the meritorious result of the many years of dedication of Eva Agmon at the head of the "Keren Adi" foundation which was created in memory of her daughter Adi, who died at a very young age and whose greatest wish was to dance flamenco.
This time the festival is presented in a digital version with a unique programme, in which Eva Agmon brings us through the best of Spanish dance, and reveals to us the latest in Spanish dance.
Several shows will be staged during the 3 days of the festival:
Thursday 18 March: the piece "Dependencia", a contemporary flamenco show by Mijal Ben Zvi, an Israeli artist who lived in Seville, will be presented.
Friday 19 March: The Keren Adi Contest, which promises to be a thrilling experience, will be broadcast live, with each contestant performing the obligatory dance choreographed by Estevez and Panius, and a dance of their choice accompanied by musicians Shuki Shveiki and Ofir Atar. Production directors: Adva Yermiahu and Yael Tochfeld. The jury is composed of Sharon Saghi from Flamenco Natural, Keren Pesach from Ramangar and Edith Soslik, doctor of Flamenco.
On the same day, you can also see "Cinderella" written and directed by Yossi Tsabari, performed by Sharon Saghi's group "Flamenco Natural", who also choreographed it. It is the "Cinderella" of the children's story but with a Spanish twist. "It is the place where virtuoso flamenco and grotesque comedy meet, through dance, music, singing, acting and lots of waving dresses.
Saturday 20 March: will premiere in a gala evening the central show, "Cazas Flamenco Project" is a musical journey through flamenco, elements of jazz and world music. An experience created by Manuel Cazás, which alternates tradition and fusion, illuminating new horizons, entering an original, fresh world, full of rhythms and new harmonies. It is "a masterpiece of the universal feeling of the guitar as a sounding board for the soul of the people". In addition to Cazas on guitar, Pablo Báez on double bass, Daniel Suárez on percussion, Ezequiel Montoya on vocals and Abel Haraña and Lucía "la piñona" on dance.
The day and the festival will end with the awarding of prizes to the winners of the competition.
