07 May CICLO “SOLERA FLAMENCA”
Ya ha comenzado la nueva edición del ciclo “Solera Flamenca ” 2018 , que está organizado por el Instituto Andaluz del Flamenco. En ésta edición la protagonista y homenajeada es “la mujer en el flamenco”. En la provincia de Córdoba, concretamente, son protagonistas las mujeres en el cante flamenco.
The programme of different recitals began on 5 May and will continue until 15 June. A total of 14 performances will take place in different towns in the province of Córdoba: Villaharta, Priego de Córdoba, Nueva Carteya, Pozoblanco, Espejo, Zambra, La Carlota, Cañada de Rabadán, Encinas Reales, Doña Mencía, Lucena and Castro del Río, and another 2 in Córdoba city.
All performances are open to the general public and will be accompanied by an explanation of the song being performed.
In the province of Córdoba, five young cantaoras will participate: Anabel Castillo, Rocío de Dios, Rocío Luna, Lucía Leiva and Rosa de la María.
In these 2018 editions, the provincial cycles will be dedicated to women and their role in flamenco, either generically, as in the case of the Córdoba and Jaén circuits, or to specific artists such as Carmencita Dauset, La Perla de Cádiz, María La Canastera, Mariana Cornejo, Adela La Chaqueta or Perlita de Huelva.
In our Andalusian community, a total of 94 performances will be staged, of which 72 will be vocals, 10 dance performances, 1 piano dance performance and 11 illustrated conferences, in which an estimated 173 artists and 6 lecturers will take part.
